 Completed in December 2018, this project consisted of retrofitting 29 transformers of which 24 were reduced in size.  The revised transformer sizes were determine buy our transformer load and performance profile study.  We successfully received an Eversource Incentive for over 40% of the total project cost offering a simple ROI of just 14 months.

100 Federal Street,Boston MA (Boston Properties)

 Our first of four (to date) transformer retrofit projects where existing 150 kVA transformers were replaced with 45 kVA units was in 2016.  Because these transformers were so lightly loaded we negotiated an incentive of 50% of the project cost giving Boston Properties a simple ROI of 12 months.  We are currently working on a fourth retrofit project and should have it completed in the first quarter of 2019.

Braintree High School, Braintree MA

This was a facility wide transformer retrofit project we performed on the behalf of  NORESCO in 2018 where we retrofitted 28 transformers in total.  NORESCO negotiated with the local electrical utility for the best incentive for the client providing them with significant savings and value and important capital improvement.

Westport Public Schools, Westport CT

This was a facility wide transformer retrofit project we performed for NORESCO in 2017 where we retrofitted 47 transformers in three different public schools.  In addition we performed a power factor correction in two schools.  NORESCO negotiated with the local electrical utility for the best incentive for the client  providing the school system with an important capital improvement as well.
